Plasmid Preparation
BMGC has several robotic devices to assist with high-throughput assays. The Qiagen BioRobot 8000 is configured to process plasmids from the culture stage to that of a sequence-ready template. This fully automated system can process one 96-well plate per hour, with 4 plates per load, allowing hands-off preparation.

HOW TO ORDER
What needs to be done to receive this service?
96-well blocks can be dropped off or sent on ice to the address listed below. If automated DNA sequencing is to be done on the samples, please include primer with a concentration of 3.2 pmole/uL.

Sending samples – shipping address (use ice packs do not use dry ice)
Where can results be obtained?
Extracted DNA samples are stored in 96-well plates at -20 degrees Celsius on St. Paul campus 20 Snyder Hall. Samples can be picked up during business hours.
What is the turnaround time?
We have a 72-hour turnaround time. If you have not received an email message before the 72-hour turnaround time, please contact any staff member at 612-625-7736.
